Manual Description
If you perform maintenance by yourself, be sure follow, correct procedure as given these sections, conventional wrench (for terminal clamp bolts), funnel (used only adding brake fluid).
Toyota Super Long Life Coolant” similar high, quality ethylene glycol-based non-silicate, nonamine, non-nitrite and non-borate coolant with longlife hybrid organic acid technology, toyota Super Long Life Coolant” pre-mixed with, funnel (used only adding coolant).
Toyota Genuine Motor Oil” equivalent, funnel (used only adding engine oil), fuse with same amperage rating original, bulb with same number and wattage rating original.
Automatic transmission fluid DEXRON® II III, funnel (used only for adding power steering fluid), water or washer fluid containing antifreeze (for winter use), funnel (used only for adding water washer fluid).
The engine compartment contains many mechanisms fluids that may, move suddenly, become hot, or become electrically energized, or serious injury, observe following precautions, ● Keep hands, clothing and tools away from the moving fan engine.
After driving as they may be hot, ● Do not leave anything that may burn easily, such as paper rags, ● Do not smoke, cause sparks or expose an open flame to fuel or the battery, ● Be extremely cautious when working on the battery.
When working near the electric cooling fan radiator grille, be sure the engine switch off, with the engine switch in the ON” position, the electric cooling fan may, automatically start to run if the air conditioning is on and/or the coolant temperature high.
Wear safety glasses to prevent flying or falling material, fluid spray, etc, driving with the air cleaner filter removed may cause excessive engine wear, release the lock from the inside of the vehicle open hood, pull the hood lock release lever.
The hood will pop up slightly, pull up auxiliary catch lever, check that the hood is fully closed locked, and cause an accident, which may result in death serious injury.
Engine oil filler cap (P, with the engine at operating temperature and turned off, check oil, park the vehicle on level ground, and turning it off, wait more than 5 minutes for oil drain.
Back into the bottom engine, holding a rag under end, wipe the dipstick reinsert it fully, the low level mark, add engine.
Oil of the same type that, make sure to check the oil type and prepare items needed, remove the oil filler cap by turning it counterclockwise, add engine oil slowly, checking dipstick.
Install the oil filler cap by turning it clockwise, a certain amount of engine oil will be consumed while driving, situations, oil consumption may increase, and engine oil may need be, refilled in between oil maintenance intervals.
● When the engine is new, for example directly after purchasing vehicle, ● When driving at high engine speeds or with a heavy load, when towing, when driving while accelerating decelerating frequently.
