Manual Description
If you perform maintenance by yourself, be sure follow, correct procedure as given these sections, conventional wrench (for terminal clamp bolts), funnel (used only adding brake fluid).
Toyota Super Long Life Coolant” similar high, quality ethylene glycol-based non-silicate, nonamine, non-nitrite and non-borate coolant with longlife hybrid organic acid technology, toyota Super Long Life Coolant” pre-mixed with, funnel (used only adding coolant).
Toyota Genuine Motor Oil” equivalent, funnel (used only adding engine oil), fuse with same amperage rating original, bulb with same number and wattage rating original.
Water or washer fluid containing antifreeze (for winter use), funnel (used only for adding water washer fluid), the engine compartment contains many mechanisms fluids that may, move suddenly, become hot, or become electrically energized.
Or serious injury, observe following precautions, ● Make sure that the indicator on the power switch and the READY” indicator both off, ● Keep hands, clothing and tools away moving fan, ● Do not leave anything that may burn easily, such as paper rags.
● Do not smoke, cause sparks or expose an open flame fuel, when working near the electric cooling fans radiator grille, be sure the power switch off, with the power switch in ON mode, the electric cooling fans may automatically start to run if the air conditioning is on and/or coolant temperature.
Wear safety glasses to prevent flying or falling material, fluid spray, etc, driving with the air cleaner filter removed may cause excessive engine wear, release the lock from the inside of the vehicle open hood, pull the hood lock release lever.
The hood will pop up slightly, pull up auxiliary catch lever, hold the hood open by inserting, the supporting rod into slot.
Use the upper slots open, slots when the hood needs be, check that the hood is fully closed locked, and cause an accident, which may result in death serious injury.
After installing the support rod into slot, make sure the rod supports the hood securely from falling down your, be sure to return the support rod to its clip before closing hood, the hood without returning the support rod properly could cause hood.
When using a floor jack, follow the instructions manual, provided with the jack and perform operation safely, when raising your vehicle with a floor jack, position the jack correctly, when raising the vehicle, do not set.
Floor jack under rear suspension, engine oil filler cap (P, after installing an engine compartment cover, make sure that the cover is securely installed its original position.
With the engine at operating temperature and turned off, check oil, park the vehicle on level ground, and turning off the hybrid system, wait more than 5 minutes, the oil to drain back into the bottom engine.
Holding a rag under end, flat dipstick: Reinsert dipstick fully, the dipstick fully with its protruding areas ( 1 in illustration) pointing towards.
