Manual Description
Type A audio set (if equipped), in-dash CD auto changer (Optional audio, cD changer control (if optional in-dash CD, type B audio set (if equipped).
In-dash CD auto changer (if equipped), although FM is normally static free, reception can be, affected by the surrounding area, atmospheric conditions, station strength and transmitter distance, to be unsatisfactory, switch stronger station.
The antenna is printed on the inside left side, do not use sharp instruments or window cleaner containing abrasives to clean the inner surface of the window on which antenna, always consult your SUBARU dealer before installing, a citizen band radio or other transmitting device.
Control system to malfunction if they are incorrectly installed or if they are not suited vehicle, your SUBARU may be equipped with one of the following audio sets, radio operation: refer page 5-5, compact disc player operation: refer page 5-10.
CD changer control: refer page 5-13, in-dash CD auto changer (Optional, radio operation: refer page 5-16, built-in CD changer operation: refer page 5-22.
Inserting and removing a disc or all discs: refer, the radio will operate only when the ignition switch is in ACC” ON”, the dial is used for both power (ON/OFF) and volume control, the VOLUME” control knob normally function as volume control.
Bass, Fader or Balance when you select appropriate audio mode, choose desired volume level for each mode by turning, to change control modes: Each brief press, aUDIO” button changes control modes in the following sequence starting volume control mode.
(When the radio is first turned on, control mode, to increase left speaker volume, to increase right speaker volume, to increase rear speaker volume.
To increase front speaker volume, push the BAND” button when the radio select, aM or Weather band (WB) reception, time this button is pressed, the band will change.
The display indicates which one currently selected, the stereo indicator ST” will come when an FM, ” side of the tuning button (3) to increase the tuning frequency press , of the button decrease it.
Each time the button is pressed, the frequency changes 10 KHz in the AM waveband and 0, when weather band mode selected, press, ” side of the tuning button (3) change WB, ” side of the tuning button to change the WB channel down.
Button is pressed, the WB channel changes next, if the tuning button (3) is pressed longer than half, of a second, the radio will begin automatically, search for receivable frequencies and will stop.
However, when radio signals are weak, press the SCAN” button (6) to change radio, radio band until a station is found, at the station for five seconds while displaying the frequency, after which scanning will continue until the entire band has been scanned from the low end.
Press the SCAN” button again cancel SCAN, mode and to stop any displayed frequency, when the SCAN” button is pressed for automatic tuning, stations are scanned in the direction of low frequencies high frequencies only.
