ABS prevents the wheels locking when braking. Thus helping the driver to maintain control of the vehicle. An ABS intervention can be noticed through pulsating movements of the brake pedal and distinct noises.
When the ABS system is active, do not brake periodically or reduce the pressure on the brake pedal. If the drive wheels lock, the engine speed is automatically increased. This reduces the braking effect of the engine, and the wheels can rotate freely again.
In critical situations, the DSR provides the driver with a steering recommendation in order to stabilise the vehicle. DSR is activated, for example, on the right and left vehicle side when braking sharply on different road surfaces.
