Manual Description
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT AND FUEL PUMP, sERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS) 8, inspect the fuel lines, filler cap and tank improper attachment, leaks, cracks, damage, loose connections, chafing deterioration.

If necessary, repair replace faulty parts, when replacing fuel line parts, be sure observe following, put a CAUTION: FLAMMABLE” sign workshop, do not smoke while servicing fuel system.

Be sure to furnish the workshop with CO2 fire extinguisher, before removing fuel line parts, carry out following procedures, put drained fuel in an explosion-proof container and put lid securely, release fuel pressure from fuel line.

Always replace O-ring with new ones, do not kink or twist hose tube while installing, do not tighten hose clamps excessively avoid damaging hoses, tighten high pressure rubber hose clamp so that clamp end.

Tightening torque specifications are the same all rubber, ensure that screw does not contact adjacent parts, for inspection and installation of EVAP system parts, refer, to "EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM" (KA24DE).

For inspection and installation of ORVR system parts, refer, to "ON BOARD REFUELING VAPOR RECOVERY, vAPOR RECOVERY (ORVR)" (VG33E), EC-1737, "ON BOARD REFUELING VAPOR RECOVERY, after installing tubes, make sure there is no fuel leakage at connections following steps.

A) Apply fuel pressure to fuel lines by turning ignition switch ON (with engine stopped), b) Start the engine and rev it up and check for fuel leaks connections, use only a genuine NISSAN fuel filler cap as a replacement, put a CAUTION: INFLAMMABLE” sign workshop.

Remove quick connectors with commercial service tool, always replace O-ring with new one, do not kink or twist hoses tubes when installed, perform an inspection and installation of EVAP system parts as necessary.

"EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM" (KA24DE), EC-1157, "EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM", for inspection and installation of ORVR system parts, refer to EC-562, "ON BOARD REFUELING, vAPOR RECOVERY (ORVR)" (KA24DE), EC-1163, "ON BOARD REFUELING VAPOR RECOVERY, (ORVR)" "ON BOARD REFUELING VAPOR RECOVERY (ORVR)" (VG33ER).

After installation, run engine and check for fuel leaks connections, release fuel pressure fuel line, refer to "FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE" (KA24DE), EC608, "FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE", remove inspection hole cover located under rear seat.

Remove the quick connectors follows, q Keep the connecting portions of the tubes quick connectors clean, disconnect filler hose, vent and evaporation hose fuel tank, connect the quick connectors follows.

Make sure the connectors clean undamaged, align push in tabs with retainer openings, insert tube into the center of the connector until you hear click, after connecting quick connectors, make sure connection fully.

Seated and locked place follows, pull on the fuel tube and connector to make sure they properly connected, start the engine, increase engine speed and verify that there, fUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT AND FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY.

Q For removal of quick connectors, refer to step 6 FL-3, "FUEL TANK", remove retainer, fuel pump and fuel level sensor assembly, remove fuel pump with bracket while lifting the pawl fuel.
