Be careful not to splash clutch fluid painted areas, when removing and installing clutch piping, use Tool, use new clutch fluid to clean or wash all parts master cylinder, do not use mineral oils such as gasoline or kerosene.
After cleaning clutch disc, clean it with a dust collector, installing clutch cover clutch disc, rELEASE BEARING (Worn, dirty damaged), dIAPHRAGM SPRING (Out tip alignment).
CLUTCH DISC (Lack spline grease), (QR engine models),EM-259 (YD engine models), nOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS (NVH) TROUBLESHOOTING, (QR engine models), EM-227 (YD engine models).
Use the chart below to help you find the cause of the symptom, make sure that clevis pin floats freely in the bore clutch pedal, it should not be bound by clevis clutch pedal, aSCD clutch switch is not applying pressure clutch pedal.
Pedal stopper bolt ASCD clutch switch, make sure that clevis pin floats in the bore clutch pedal, should not be bound by clutch pedal, if clevis pin is still not free, remove clevis pin check.
Clevis pin removed step 2, check clutch pedal stroke for free range movement, with clevis pin removed, manually move clutch pedal up, down to determine it moves freely.
If any sticking is found, replace related parts (clutch pedal, and again make sure that clevis pin floats freely bore, check clutch hydraulic and system components (clutch master, cylinder, clutch operating cylinder, clutch withdrawal lever, clutch.
If any sticking or binding is found, repair or replace related parts necessary, if hydraulic system repair was necessary, bleed the clutch hydraulic system, power bleeder will not purge all the air system, disconnect ASCD clutch switch harness connector (with ASCD).
Remove snap pin and clevis pin from clevis clutch master cylinder, remove clutch pedal assembly mounting nuts and bolt, and then remove clutch pedal assembly, check clutch pedal for bend, damage, or a cracked weld, installation is the reverse order removal.
Tighten pedal stopper bolt lock nut (without ASCD) or ASCD clutch switch lock nut (with ASCD) to the specified torque after installing clutch pedal assembly in vehicle and adjusting pedal free play, monitor clutch fluid level in reservoir tank to make sure it does not empty, keep painted surface on the body or other parts free of clutch fluid, and wash the affected area with water.
Bleed the air operating cylinder, repeat steps to 6 until no bubbles can be observed clutch, tighten air bleeder valve to the specified torque, using one of the following methods, remove hose nipple.
Q Drain clutch fluid from reservoir tank remove hose, remove clutch tube using flare nut wrench, remove snap pin and clevis pin on clevis in passenger compartment separate clutch pedal, remove mounting nuts on master cylinder assembly, and then master cylinder assembly vehicle.
Check position of clevis and push rod, the standard length, adjust position of clevis push rod, connect clutch tube to master cylinder assembly and temporarily tighten flare nut.
