Check engine oil for white turbidity heavy contamination, if engine oil becomes turbid and white, it is highly probable that it is contaminated with engine coolant, check for engine oil leakage around following area, intake valve timing control cover and intake valve timing control solenoid valve.
Mating surface between cylinder block lower cylinder block, mating surface between cylinder block cylinder head, mating surface between cylinder head rocker cover, crankshaft oil seals (front rear).
Be careful not to burn yourself, as engine oil may be hot, engine oil pressure check should be in Parking position” (A/T models) Neutral position” (M/T, models), and should apply parking brake securely, disconnect harness connector at oil pressure switch.
Remove oil pressure switch using deep socket (commercial, install oil pressure gauge and hose (special service tool), start engine and warm it up normal operating temperature, check oil pressure with engine running under no-load.
When engine oil temperature is low, engine oil pressure becomes high, engine oil pressure [Engine oil temperature 80°C (176°F)], if difference is extreme, check oil passage and oil pump oil leaks, after the inspections, install oil pressure switch follows.
Remove old liquid gasket adhering to oil pressure switch engine, apply liquid gasket and tighten oil pressure switch specification, use Genuine Thread Sealant equivalent, after warming up engine, make sure there is no leaks of engine oil with running engine.
Prolonged and repeated contact with used engine oil may cause skin cancer; try avoid direct, skin contact with used engine oil, loosen oil filler cap and then remove drain plug, install drain plug with new washer.
Be sure to clean drain plug and install with new washer, refer to "RECOMMENDED FLUIDS AND LUBRICANTS", q The refill capacity depends on the engine oil temperature and drain time, q Always use oil level gauge to determine the proper amount of engine oil engine.
Warm up engine and check area around drain plug and oil filter oil leakage, stop engine and wait 10 minutes, open oil filter installation/removal cover RH undercover.
