Manual Description
REAR WHEEL HUB AND HOUSING 11, rEAR WHEEL HUB AND HOUSING 4, rEAR WHEEL HUB AND HOUSING 13, nOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS (NVH) TROUBLESHOOTING.
Use chart below to find the cause of the symptom, rEAR WHEEL HUB AND HOUSING, make sure the mounting conditions (looseness, back lash) of each component component conditions, move wheel hub and bearing assembly in the axial direction by hand.
Rotate wheel hub, and make sure there is no unusual noise or other irregular conditions, irregular conditions, replace wheel hub bearing assembly, refer to "Components" for symbols figure, remove wheel sensor from hub and bearing assembly.
Exploded View" (without VDC), BRC-176, "REAR WHEEL SENSOR : Exploded View" (with VDC), never pull wheel sensor harness, remove torque member mounting bolts with power tool, refer to "BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY : Exploded View".
Never depress brake pedal while brake caliper removed, put matching marks on the wheel hub and bearing assembly and the disc rotor before removing, remove wheel hub bearing assembly, note the following, and install in the reverse order removal.
Align the matching marks (A) made during removal when reusing, check wheel hub and bearing assembly for wear, cracks, and damage, adjust neutral position of steering angle sensor, aNGLE SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION : Special Repair Requirement" (with VDC).
SERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS), < SERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS), refer to DRIVE SHAFT chart, refer to REAR AXLE chart.
Observe the following precautions when disassembling assembling drive shaft, never disassemble joint sub-assembly because it non-overhaul parts, perform work in a location which is dust-free possible, clean the parts, before disassembling assembling.
Prevent the entry of foreign objects during disassembly service location, reassemble disassembled parts carefully in the correct order, clean disassembled parts (except for rubber parts) with kerosene which shall be removed by blowing with, air or wiping with paper waste.
The actual shapes of Kent-More tools may differ from those of special service tools illustrated here, check drive shaft mounting point and joint for looseness other damage, check boot for cracks other damage, replace entire drive shaft assembly when noise or vibration occurs drive shaft.
Remove wheel sensor from axle housing, (without VDC), "REAR WHEEL SENSOR : Exploded View" (with VDC), "BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY : Exploded View", remove cotter pin, and then loosen wheel hub lock nut with power tool.
Wood to disengage wheel hub and bearing assembly drive, never place drive shaft joint at an extreme angle, careful not overextend slide joint, never allow drive shaft to hang down without support.
Housing (or joint sub-assembly), shaft other parts, use suitable puller, if wheel hub and bearing assembly drive, shaft cannot be separated even after performing above procedure, : Fill NISSAN genuine grease an equivalent.
Refer to "Components" for symbols not described above, use a suitable puller if the wheel hub bearing assembly, drive shaft cannot be separated even after performing above.
