Manual Description
(SRS) "AIR BAG" and "SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONER" 2, precaution for Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) "AIR BAG" "SEAT BELT, the Supplemental Restraint System such as AIR BAG” and SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONER”, used along, with a front seat belt, helps to reduce the risk or severity of injury to the driver and front passenger certain.
System uses the seat belt switches to determine the front air bag deployment, and may only deploy one front, air bag, depending on the severity of a collision and whether the front occupants belted unbelted, information necessary to service the system safely is included in the SRS AIR BAG” and SEAT BELT”, always observe the following items preventing accidental activation.
To avoid rendering the SRS inoperative, which could increase the risk of personal injury death, the event of a collision that would result in air bag inflation, all maintenance must be performed by, improper maintenance, including incorrect removal and installation of the SRS, can lead personal, injury caused by unintentional activation of the system.
Never use electrical test equipment on any circuit related to the SRS unless instructed to in this Service Manual, pRECAUTIONS WHEN USING POWER TOOLS (AIR OR ELECTRIC) AND HAMMERS, when working near the Air Bag Diagnosis Sensor Unit or other Air Bag System sensors with, ignition ON or engine running, never use air or electric power tools or strike near sensor(s) with.
When using air or electric power tools or hammers, always switch the ignition OFF, disconnect, battery, and wait at least 3 minutes before performing any service, remove instrumentpanel lower cover driver side, disconnect accelerator pedal position sensor harness connector.
Loosen mounting bolts, and remove accelerator pedal assembly, never disassemble accelerator pedal assembly, avoid impact from dropping etc, be careful to keep accelerator pedal assembly away water.
Note the following, and install in the reverse order removal, insert the locating pin while inserting the locating hook in to the break pedal bracket, never squeeze the locating hook into the break pedal bracket when inserting the locating pin into, hole on the brake pedal bracket side.
Check accelerator pedal moves smoothly within the whole operation range when it fully depressed, check accelerator pedal securely returns to fully released position, for the electrical inspection of accelerator pedal position sensor, when harness connector of accelerator pedal position sensor is disconnected, perform ACCELERATOR PEDAL RELEASED POSITION LEARNING”.
