Steptronic Sport transmission: Launch Control enables optimum acceleration on surfaces with good traction under dry surrounding conditions. General information The use of Launch Control causes premature component wear since this function represents a very heavy load for the vehicle. Do not use Launch Control during the break-in, refer to page 226, period.
To start with Launch Control do not steer the steering wheel. Functional requirements: Launch Control is available as soon as the engine and transmission are at operating temperature. Depending on the external temperature and driving style, the engine and transmission require an interrupted trip of up to 30 miles/50 km in order to reach the operating temperature needed for Launch Control.
