Manual Description
If you perform maintenance yourself, be sure to follow correct procedure, fuse with same amperage rating original, funnel (used only adding fluid), genuine Lexus fuse or equivalent with same amperage rating original.
Genuine Lexus engine air filter equivalent, toyota Super Long Life Coolant” similar high, quality ethylene glycol based non-silicate, non-amine, non-nitrite and non-borate coolant with long-life.
Life Coolant” is pre-mixed with 50% coolant, de-ionized water (for the U, funnel (used only adding coolant), toyota Genuine Motor Oil” equivalent.
Funnel (used only adding oil), automatic transmission fluid DEXRON® ll lll, funnel (used only adding washer fluid), the engine compartment contains many mechanisms and fluids that many move suddenly, become hot, or become electrically energized.
N When working engine compartment, l Keep hands, clothing, and tools away from the moving fan engine drive belt, l Do not leave anything that may burn easily, such as paper or rags, engine, l Do not smoke, cause sparks or expose an open flame to fuel battery.
Fuel and battery fumes flammable, l Be extremely cautious when working battery, it contains poisonous corrosive sulfuric acid, perform maintenance checks with adequate ventilation.
N When working near the electric cooling fan radiator grill, be sure the ignition is off, n When working on under vehicle, always use automotive jack stands other solid supports.
Driving with the engine air filter removed may cause excessive engine wear due, also, a backfire could cause a fire engine compartment, lift the hood to inspect engine components fluid levels, the hood will pop up slightly.
Lift the hood catch lift, check that the hood is fully closed locked, cause an accident, which may result in death serious injury, when raising your vehicle, position the jack correctly.
May damage your vehicle cause injury, make sure to observe the following to reduce the possibility death serious, always use automotive jack stands or solid, level, surface, l Stop the vehicle on level firm ground, firmly set the parking brake put.
L Make sure to set the jack properly jack point, raising the vehicle with an improperly positioned jack will damage vehicle, may allow the vehicle to fall off jack, l When raising the vehicle, do not place any objects on top underneath.
With the engine at operating temperature and turned off, check oil, park the vehicle level ground, after turning off the engine, wait a few minutes for oil drain, back into the bottom engine.
Hold a rag under end pull, standing up on the left side of the vehicle, reinsert dipstick, the direction so that the ENGINE OIL” on top should be read, holding a rag under the end, pull the dipstick out check.
Wipe dipstick and reinsert until fully seated, low line, add engine oil same, make sure to check the oil type and prepare items needed before.
