Perform the following steps to open fuel tank cap, ● Turn the ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF ensure that all, ● Confirm the type fuel, turn the fuel tank cap slowly.
Hang the fuel tank cap, back of fuel filler door, after refueling, turn fuel tank, cap until you hear click.
Use unleaded gasoline (Octane Rating 91 [Research Octane Number 96], observe the following precautions while refueling vehicle, ● Touch the vehicle or some other metal surface to discharge any static electricity, sparks resulting from discharging static electricity may cause fuel vapors.
● Always hold the grips on the fuel tank cap and turn it slowly remove it, a whooshing sound may be heard when the fuel tank cap loosened, the sound cannot be heard before fully removing cap, in hot weather, pressurized fuel may spray out of the filler neck cause injury.
● Do not allow anyone that has not discharged static electricity their bodies, come close to an open fuel tank, ● Do not inhale vaporized fuel, fuel contains substances that harmful inhaled.
● Do not smoke while refueling vehicle, doing so may cause the fuel to ignite cause fire, this may cause static electricity to build up, resulting in possible ignition hazard, when replacing fuel tank cap.
