2020 Rio Model: Rio
Underneath the 2020 Kia Rio is the same platform on the Hyundai Accent, both subcompact cars.
The first Rio's were introduced in 1999 to replace the Pride and Avella lines from the South Korean automobile manufacturer.
This came at a time when Hyundai was starting to shake off its budget alternative image and started to become a serious brand in the auto market.

Currently, the car is in its fourth generation which this 2020 model is an example of, it's slightly shorter than the last generation.
Customers are able to choose from a range of engines and transmissions including a modest 1-liter turbo through to a punchy 1.6-liter engine.
Mated to the engine is the choice of several automatic, manual and dual-clutch transmissions.
Safety ratings for the car aren't great unless you upgrade to the optional safety pack available from the 2017 model onward and then it has a great rating.
