Manual Description
The purpose of the pre-tensioner is to make sure that the seat belts fit tightly against the occupant's body in certain frontal collisions. Be sure that the serious internal injuries or the used because they may damage and webbing or buckle does not get occupant's neck could strike the weaken the fabric. These include rear impacts, second or third collisions in multiple impact accidents, as well as low speed impacts.

In other words, just because your vehicle is damaged and even if it is totally unusable, don't be surprised that the air bags did not inflate. Side air bags (side and/or curtain air bags) are designed to inflate only in side impact collisions, but they may inflate in other collisions if the side impact sensors detect a sufficient impact. The air bags are designed not to deploy in such cases because they may not provide benefits beyond the protection of the seat belts in such collisions.

It is much more likely that you will simply see the deflated air bags hanging out of their storage compartments after the collision. To prevent injury, do not comfort in breathing due to the contact of touch the air bag storage area's your chest with both the seat belt and the internal components immediately air bag, as well as from breathing the after an air bag has inflated. Carrying hard or sharp objects on your lap or in your mouth can result in injuries if an air bag inflates.
