The Supplemental Restraint System such as AIR BAG” and SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONER”, used along, with a front seat belt, helps to reduce the risk or severity of injury to the driver and front passenger certain, one front air bag, depending on the severity of a collision and whether the front passenger seat occupied, information necessary to service the system safely is included in the SR and SB section Service Manual.
To avoid rendering the SRS inoperative, which could increase the risk of personal injury death, the event of a collision which would result in air bag inflation, all maintenance must be performed by, improper maintenance, including incorrect removal and installation of the SRS, can lead personal, injury caused by unintentional activation of the system.
PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING POWER TOOLS (AIR OR ELECTRIC) AND HAMMERS, when working near the Airbag Diagnosis Sensor Unit or other Airbag System sensors with the Ignition ON or engine running, DO NOT use air or electric power tools or strike near sensor(s) with, when using air or electric power tools or hammers, always switch the Ignition OFF, disconnect, battery, and wait at least 3 minutes before performing any service.
The actual shapes of Kent-Moore tools may differ from those of special service tools illustrated here, iPDM E/R, (Front fog lamp relay, refer to "COMBINATION SWITCH READING SYSTEM : System Description", controls the integrated relays and supplies voltage to the load according to the request BCM.
Transmits stop lamp switch signal to BCM when the brake pedal is pressed operate stop lamps, refer to "METER SYSTEM : System Description", sends power to the daytime lamp when operated by IPDM E/R, moves the headlamp up/down based on input from headlamp aiming switch.
Transmits the door open signal to the BCM to operate autolight system, optical sensor converts the outside brightness (lux) to voltage and transmits optical sensor signal, transmits the parking brake switch signal to the combination meter to operate autolight system, controls variable ground to the headlamp aiming motor signal to move the headlamp aiming motor up.
Inputs the hazard switch signal BCM, when the lighting switch is in 2nd position, the BCM receives input requesting headlamps illuminate, this input is communicated to the IPDM E/R across the CAN communication lines.
