NVH Troubleshooting Chart - Engine Noise9, rEPLACING VALVE SEAT FOR SERVICE PARTS34, piston, Piston Ring Piston Pin66, use an angle wrench for the final tightening following.
The torque value for these parts are preliminary step, ensure thread and seat surfaces are clean coated with, use a scraper to remove all traces of old liquid gasket, apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket mating surfaces.
(Use Genuine RTV silicone sealant Part No, be sure liquid gasket is 3, be sure liquid gasket is 2, apply liquid gasket to inner surface around hole perimeter area.
Assembly should be done within 5 minutes after coating, wait at least 30 minutes before refilling engine oil engine, the actual shapes of Kent-Moore tools may differ from those of special service tools illustrated here, loosening and tightening cylinder head bolt.
Tightening bearing cap, cylinder head bolts, disassembling and assembling piston with connecting rod, installing piston assembly into cylinder bore, pressing the tube liquid gasket.
Loosening or tightening heated oxygen sensor, loosening or tightening rear heated oxygen, holding camshaft pulley while tightening, reaming valve guide 1 hole oversize.
Before installing a new oxygen sensor, anti-seize lubricant (PermatexTM 133AR or equivalent meeting MIL specification MIL-A-907), lubricating oxygen sensor thread cleaning tool, nOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS (NVH) TROUBLESHOOTING.

Crank engine and record highest gauge indication, repeat the measurement on each cylinder shown above, always use a fully-charged battery obtain specified, compression pressure: kPa (kg/cm2, psi)/300 rpm.
If cylinder compression in one or more cylinders low, pour, small amount of engine oil into cylinders through spark plug, if adding oil improves cylinder compression, piston rings, if pressure stays low, a valve may be sticking seating.
Adding oil does not improve compression, there is leakage past the gasket surface, reinstall spark plug fuel injector fuse, fuel pump fuse, reconnect camshaft position sensor harness connector.
