Airbags must be disposed of by cause the restraints control module to qualified personnel. The fact that the seatbelt pretensioners or front airbags did not activate for both front seat occupants in a crash does not mean that something is wrong with the system. Side airbags may activate in other types of crashes if the vehicles experiences sufficient sideways motion or deformation.
The key must be in your vehicle to activate the push-button start system. A message appears in the information display when the remote control battery is low. Twist a thin coin under the tab hidden behind the key blade head to remove the battery cover.
Install new battery with the + facing move the cap rearward to release it. Make sure you have properly installed the cap by trying to move it rearward. Replacement keys or remote controls can be purchased from an authorized dealer.
